Alvéole is a deep tech company founded in 2010 by three CNRS researchers in collaboration with Quattrocento, a "creator of deep tech in the field of life sciences" enabling academic researchers to transform their inventions into commercial products. The company's ambition is to become the benchmark for tools for creating in vitro cellular environments with more reliable models, thereby helping to reduce animal testing while accelerating scientific research.

All of the LJP's activities focus on physics at the interface with biology and medicine. They develop new experimental approaches aimed at probing the properties of complex biological systems at different scales, and they seek to create new physicochemical systems whose behavior could offer certain analogies with biological systems.
